Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all accommodation bookings made with Skipton Holiday Homes directly, through a third party or online at www.skiptonholidayhomes.co.uk. When you make a booking, your contract (which includes these terms and conditions) is with Peace Consultancy Limited, trading as Skipton Holiday Homes, Woodland Cottage, Thornton-in-Craven, Skipton, BD23 3JQ. Company registered in England and Wales, number 12631597.
All rates on the website are offered subject to availability, and we reserve the right to refuse any booking for good reason.
Pricing
Prices vary with availability and demand, and may change without notice. Your price is guaranteed once you have received a confirmation email.
Availability
During major holidays and local, sporting or social events, some rates may not be available, and some dates may have a minimum length of stay.
Pets
Up to three dogs are welcome in The Clock Tower Suite, by arrangement; please tell us when you book. We are unable to accept pets in The Attik Suite.
Car parking
There is no on-site parking at High Street House. Guests at either suite can use two free spaces at The Corn Mill, about a seven minute walk away, and the main town car park, which is paid, is about three minutes away. Car parks are used at your own risk, and Skipton Holiday Homes accepts no liability for any accident, damage or loss.
Internet
Free internet access is provided for all guests. You agree to use it lawfully, honestly and properly.
Arrival and departure
Suites are available from 3pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.30am on the day of departure, unless agreed otherwise. Failing to leave by the check-out time may incur a charge for an additional night at the rate for that night.
Booking information
Book online at www.skiptonholidayhomes.co.uk, or email us at bookings@skiptonholidayhomes.co.uk.
Maximum occupancy
Our suites are not intended for parties, social gatherings or other events. Each suite has a maximum occupancy. Exceeding it will result in the loss of your deposit and may lead to your immediate removal from the property without notice or refund.
The maximum occupancy for each suite is the number of people it sleeps, plus two visitors. Visitors are not permitted after 11pm. Where cots or extra beds are supplied, the maximum occupancy increases to include children under five.
Conduct
We want every guest to enjoy their stay. If we receive complaints about excessive or unacceptable noise from your party, and a previous request to stop has been ignored, we reserve the right to ask your party to leave. In that case both your accommodation charges and deposit will be forfeited, and if your party refuses to leave, the police will be asked to attend.
Damage to the property, or excessive noise or disruption to other guests, will mean your deposit is not refunded. Where guests behave unreasonably, you may also be liable for further reasonable charges, such as deep cleaning, repairs to furniture, soft furnishings and decoration, and lost revenue while the property is out of use. The card used to guarantee your booking may be charged for these costs.
Non-smoking policy
Smoking is prohibited, in line with UK law, and our smoke alarms are linked to the local fire station. There is a minimum charge of £250 for each call-out if an alarm is activated, plus a significant recovery fee to return the property to a smoke-free condition.
Zero tolerance
We will not tolerate behaviour by guests or visitors that affects the comfort, enjoyment, health, safety or wellbeing of others, and we reserve the right to refuse or end a stay for any guest or visitor who, in our judgement, behaves in this way. In such cases Skipton Holiday Homes is not liable for any damages, refund or other compensation, including travel costs.
Cancellations and amendments
Please obtain a cancellation reference when you cancel, so that only the minimum charges are applied. We do our best to meet any special requests, but they do not form part of our contract and cannot be guaranteed.
In the unlikely event that we need to change or cancel your booking, you may accept the changed arrangements, make alternative arrangements with us, or cancel and receive a full refund of any money you have paid to Skipton Holiday Homes for that booking. We are not liable for sums paid to anyone else in connection with your booking, and have no further liability for any change or cancellation.
Non-arrivals
If you do not arrive, the full accommodation charge applies and the suite will be released after 24 hours.
Complaints or comments
Please raise any complaint or comment with us during your stay, so that we can put it right at the time. Anything that cannot be resolved then should be sent to us in writing.
Insurance
Skipton Holiday Homes holds appropriate insurance where it is liable for injury, loss or damage suffered by guests. We are not responsible for your travel insurance, and we recommend that you take out cancellation insurance.
General information
We make every effort to keep the information on our website accurate, but cannot accept responsibility for errors or omissions, and may change or withdraw any information or offer at any time. Photographs of the suites, here and on other websites, are for reference only.
Skipton Holiday Homes is not responsible for loss or damage arising from events beyond our control or the control of our suppliers, including fire, failure of power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, transport problems and bad weather, or for any resulting change to or cancellation of your stay.
Cancellation policy
This policy applies to bookings made directly with us at www.skiptonholidayhomes.co.uk.
Deposit and balance
A deposit of 25% of the total price is taken when you book. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your arrival date.
If you cancel
Payments are non-refundable. If you cancel more than 7 days before arrival, the 25% deposit is kept; if you cancel within 7 days of arrival, the full amount is payable. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel.
Bookings through other websites
If you booked through Airbnb or Booking.com, that platform’s cancellation terms apply instead.
We recommend taking out travel insurance that covers cancellation.
